Jun Tsujii's life's work, the latest collection of violin pieces! Jun Tsujii has been active as a soloist, chamber musician, and a member of Ensemble Vega led by Akira Miyagawa, and at the same time, recording small pieces has been his life work. This is his 25th album of small pieces. The number of recorded pieces has reached a whopping 367! (ISODA label, OTAKEN label). The title of the album, "Serenade of Angels," is a work by Italian cellist and composer Gaetano Braga (1829-1907), who is now known only for this substantial work. The program concludes with a Gypsy Dance by contemporary composer Frederic Chaslin (b.1963). Once again, the commentary is by Jun Tsujii himself, with a highly readable four-page column titled "One Violinist's Commentary," as well as detailed descriptions of each work. Tobu Shoji Co.
