Kirill Karabits CHANDOS Vol. 2! He has been the Principal Conductor of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra since 2008, and in 2016 he was appointed Music Director & Principal Conductor of the DeutschesNationaltheater and Staatskapelle Weimar, and has become the most popular young maestro in Ukraine. Kirill Karabits, a young Ukrainian maestro who has been attracting attention. Voices from theEast," a recording by Kara Kalaev of Azerbaijan (CHSA5203), has attracted much attention. The second volume in the new series dedicated to unknown composers from the former Soviet Union features orchestral works by Boris Lyatsinsky (1895-1968), a Ukrainian composer from the first half of the 20th century who taught orchestration to his father, Ivan Karabits (1945-2002), who was a conductor and composer. Symphony No. 3 was opposed by the Soviet authorities and was not premiered until the finale was rewritten. The symphonic ballad "Grażina" was written to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of the great Polish poet Adam Mitkiewicz.Kirill Karabits presents his excellent interpretation of Ryatoshinsky's music, which absorbed Russian traditions and late 19th century Western European Romanticism, and built its own music influenced by 20th century modernist movements such as expressionism and traditional Ukrainian music.
