STORATOVARIUS, the champions of the Scandinavian melodic power metal scene, released their memorable first full-length album in 1989, which is being reissued on Music On CD. At the time, Timo Tolkki doubled as vocalist, and none of the other members have remained with the band to this day. The album is generally rough and has a strong orthodox metal feel, but there are some classical phrases that are typical of Timo Tolkki and a blend of Scandinavian characteristics. This is a piece that is packed with valuable ideas as their starting point before quality.
