The Italian vocal and instrumental period ensemble Cantica Sinfonia, led by master singer Giuseppe Malletto, who has created numerous masterpieces such as the "Dufay Trilogy" and the masses by Buenoit and Isaac, has been awarded the 2017 Record Academy Award. The long-awaited new recording features a capella polyphony works written by Josquin des Prez, the greatest master of the Flemish school of Renaissance music, and instrumental works with organ, fiddle, harp, and sackbut.
