This is a reissue in the standard CD format of a collection of Schubert songs by the beautiful soprano Anna Lucia Richter, a famous German singer. Anna Lucia Richter received her vocal training from her mother at the age of nine and became a member of the Cologne Cathedral Girls Choir. She studied in Basel with Prof. Kurt Wittmer and later in Cologne. Her major awards include the second prize in the youth category of the 2008 Berlin National Vocal Competition, the Luitpold Prize at the 2011 Summer Music Festival in Kissingen, and the first prize at the 2012 International Robert Schumann Competition in Zwickau, conducted by Bernard Haitink in October 2015, In October 2015, she appeared as soloist in Mahler's Symphony No. 4 with the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Bernard Haitink, and made a splash. Richter has a very clear and transparent voice. This is a remarkable recording that brings us closer to the essence of Schubert's songs. King International
