Verdi's passionate patriotic opera "The Battle of Legnano" Theodosiu's heroine is overwhelming! With Japanese subtitles! Verdi's "The Battle of Legnano" was premiered in Rome in January 1849, based on the historical battle between the Holy Roman Empire and the Lombardy League at Legnano in 1176. The story is based on the historical events of the Lombardy League. The year 1848, the year before the premiere, was a year of revolutionary upheaval in all of Europe, and rebellions broke out frequently in northern Italy, which was then under Austrian rule. Conversely, this has had a negative impact on his popularity after the unification of Italy, but his more fervent than usual Verdi is irresistible to those who like it. Ruggiero Capuccio's staging of "The Battle of Legnano" is an interesting twist, utilizing several large Renaissance-style battlefield paintings to tell the story of the contemporary people surrounding the battle. The Catania production of "The Battle of Legnano" has already been released on DVD by BOGIOVANNI (AB 20001), but this is the first time it has been released on Blu-ray Disc.
