Ike Quebeck, a tenor saxophone virtuoso who left behind many masterpieces, released a popular disc in 1962 on the prestigious BLUE NOTE label, which has been reissued in clear vinyl format! He was already 45 years old in 1961 when he recorded this album, and died suddenly of illness in 1963. This is one of the most popular recordings, featuring Freddie Roach's organ, and the moody sound and full-bodied tenor sound that only a black man can produce.
