Description:

Solo work by instrumental guitarist Tidiane Thiam. Hailing from Podor, a fishing town in Senegal, the hometown of the great Baaba Maal, Thiam taught himself to play guitar by listening to late night radio broadcasts of manding music. He soon developed his own style of music, incorporating folk songs from Pulaar, and his third solo album, which features field recordings and electronic sounds.
