Twenty years after the long-selling "It's Snowing On MyPiano" was released in 1997, Bugge Wesselthoft's ultimate solo piano project is now available. In the late 90's, Bugge launched his own label, Jazzland, and created a new trend of fusing electro/ambient/techno and jazz. Today, he is one of Europe's foremost creators and innovators. But at the same time, he is an artist who, early in his career, participated in the works of ECM's leading artists such as Jan Garbarek, Sisel Andersen, and Arlil Andersen. This album is truly a world that echoes ECM's motto, "The next most beautiful sound after silence. It's Snowing On My Piano" literally expresses the silence and rest of winter. In this work, Bouguet returns to that world once again, and with a keenly honed sensibility, has created eleven serene sound stories. The title "Everybody Loves Angel s" is a metaphor for the comfort of weightlessness.The music ranges from representative pieces by artists such as John Lennon & Paul McCartney, Cat Stevens, Paul Simon, Jimi Hendrix, Bruno Mars, and others, to Bach and trad. Considering such a wide variety of music, it would seem that the work would have a wider range, but the work is consistent with Bouguet's worldview. The melodies of each piece remain unchanged, and the tots and warm harmonies quietly move the listener's heart. The minor chord progression of Bob Dylan's "Blowin' in the Wind," with its mixture of hope and resignation, is particularly outstanding. The ups and downs of joy, anger, sadness, and a strange sense of peace are all expressed in a world that can only be expressed through music. Along with the beautiful flow of this solo work, there is also a piercing sway and spirituality. It is a world that only an innovator can create.
