In the early 1980s, a new heavy metal/hard rock movement emerged on the U.S. West Coast and took the music scene by storm, earning the name "LA Metal" in Japan. Numerous bands debuted in the music scene, and the new "industrial rock" movement expanded to become a worldwide phenomenon. Here comes the live archive of Dokken, one of the core bands of that movement! Led by Don Dokken, the LA metal band Dokken steadily rose to stardom with each album they released, until a feud between the band members led to their breakup in 1988. However, just before their breakup, the band embarked on a massive world tour, the "Back For The Attack Tour," which included a performance in Japan. The April 21, 1988 Yokohama concert was recorded for a live album and radio broadcast. Some of this material was used for the live album "Beast From The East" and five songs were broadcast on the radio. Later, the full version was also broadcast on PBS (in the US) for promotional purposes. This live album is a complete recording of the concert, including guitar solos and encores.Don Dokken's vocals are passionate with his unique melody lines, and George Lynch's guitar solos are tricky and sharp, making it hard to believe that the band will disband at the end of the tour!
