Millennium Crimson’s first 2014 tour—it was unclear whether it would be a one-year-only event or continue beyond that. All 19 performances—from the September 9 kickoff in Albany, New York, to the October 6 finale in Seattle, Washington—are fully captured on two Blu-ray discs with 24/96 high-resolution stereo audio (all 19 performances feature audio only; no video is included). Furthermore, in response to fans who still wanted to see video footage, this package includes, as bonus material, a previously unreleased recording of the dress rehearsal held the day before the tour’s opening night in front of invited guests only (audio specifications: 24/48). The 2014 tour—which would determine whether the band would continue as Crimson or if this would be a one-year-only “Fireworks Tour”—was a stormy season where tension ran high and the members’ conflicting intentions collided! The continuous series of chaotic, wild performances—clearly distinct from those of subsequent years—is a must-listen for Crimson maniacs! The unique atmosphere of that year can only be experienced here. While the performances from each show—excluding the video-recorded dress rehearsal—are already available via DGMLive download and on CD through NUGS, this Blu-ray release—which leverages the format’s capabilities to deliver high-resolution audio—is not only a rare treasure but also offers unbeatable value for the price! While the Blu-ray disc itself is a European-pressed import produced globally, the Japanese-assembled version features upgraded printed materials manufactured domestically! It’s a deluxe edition that differs from the international release—featuring an E-style gatefold paper sleeve, 19 color artwork cards from the DGM download version, and a three-sided slipcase. In addition to the international edition’s booklet, a Japan-exclusive data book has been produced, featuring translations of Sid Smith’s liner notes and the DGM download edition’s commentary, as well as an analytical essay highlighting changes in the performance of each song during the 2014 tour. 2-disc Blu-ray set, E-style paper sleeve, and slipcase included. Video is included for only one performance; the other performances are audio-only.
