Italian pianist Marangoni has been recording Rossini's "Mischiefs of Old Age" since 2007, and after 11 years, has finally completed the recording in its entirety. As the name suggests, "The Mischief of Aging" is a monologue of Rossini, who published his last opera "William Tell" at the age of 37, and entered into a comfortable retirement at the age of 44. It is a collection of secret pieces that Rossini wrote for private use and was forbidden to publish. This is the final installment of a series of Rossini's works, including piano solos, songs for mezzo-soprano (his favorite instrument), chamber music, religious pieces, and opera fragments, all of which Rossini wrote from time to time.
