The jacket is newly illustrated by Hiroyuki Okiura, the character designer, for the first time since the theatrical release in 1995. The year is 2029. The year is 2029, and the Public Security Section 9, a.k.a. "Ghost in the Shell," a special unit of elite cyborgs, has been established to combat crimes that are becoming more sophisticated and violent, in sync with the progress of information technology. The leader, Motoko Kusanagi, a cyborg with a prosthetic body, embarks on an investigation of an internationally wanted hacker named "Puppet Master". 4K ULTRA HD cannot be played on conventional Blu-ray and DVD equipment. A recorder (or player) that supports the ULTRA HD Blu-ray standard is required to play this content. HDR-compatible 4K TVs (or projectors) are required to enjoy HDR. 4K TVs that do not support HDR and HDTVs can also be used for viewing, but in these cases, the color gamut will be SDR (conventional color gamut).
