An anime adaptation of the popular manga of the same title by Umeda Abi (serialized in Akita Shoten's "Monthly Mystery Bonita"), directed by Ishiguro Kyouhei and animated by J.C. STAFF. Set in a world covered in sand, the story unravels a record of the "emotions" and "lives" of boys and girls. --The year is 93, the year of the Sand Penalty. In a world covered in a sea of sand, there were people living on a drifting ship called "Mud Whale," which looked like a small island. The island, which has no contact with the outside world, is manned by 513 people. The island is made up of two races: the Shilsi, who have the psychic power "Simia," which is based on emotion, but have a short life span, and the Muin, who do not have the power but have a long life span. One day, Chakuro, a Silushi who is the island's archivist, meets a mysterious girl named Lycos while investigating an abandoned ship that has drifted ashore on the "Mud Whale.For the islanders, this is their first contact with the outside world. Is this the gospel that opens a new world? Includes the first six chapters.
