Sonia Wieder-Atherton's "Unaccompanied Bach Suites" complete works] After building a unique and extensive discography with RCA and NAIVE, Sonia Wieder-Atherton made her ALPHA label debut in 2020 with an analog release of Bach's "Unaccompanied Cello Suites" Nos. 1 and 2. The last of the series of recordings of the complete works was recorded at the Abbey of Noirlac in central France, where Sonia Wieder-Atherton had a hunch that "this is the place to record the last two Bach Suites". This album was recorded at a church in Messe in the Lorraine region, where he said, "This is the place to record the last two Bach Suites. This is the same venue that they used when they performed a unique program of Monteverdi's works at NAIVE, and their interpretation of Bach in this acoustic space is full of natural elegance and richness that cannot be replaced by anything else.
