One of Mozart's four horn concertos performed on natural horn. The instrument used was made in Bohemia around 1800. The tone produced by the simple structure without valves is very different from modern instruments, and the beauty of natural overtones can be better appreciated. Hansjörg Angeler, who plays the instrument, was born in Tyrol. He studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and was a horn player in the Innsbruck Symphony Orchestra before becoming a soloist and professor.
