This is a disc of undiscovered guitar works from 20th century Sweden. It includes von Kock's "Seven Concert Exercises" and "Three Episodes," both in neoclassical style, and "Ten Variations on Swedish Folk Songs" by Frumeri, Johansson's "Toccata Capriccio," which uses the special technique of the title, and "Toccata Capriccio" with a song. The album contains works by eight composers, including Promdahl's "Sorrow, O Gods of Love and Desire," most of which were recorded for the first time in the world, making it a valuable album. Motten Falk is a leading Swedish guitarist. On this album, he gives a beautiful performance with the tone of the guitar created by Per Hallgren. Naxos Japan
