Johann Sebastian Bach's "Suite for Unaccompanied Cello" is considered a sacred work for all cellists. This supreme work, which has been performed in numerous masterpieces, was created by the Spanish virtuoso Asier Polo, who was born in 1971. He says that this masterpiece "leads us inward and makes us aware of our absolute solitude in the face of the universe and the unknown," and he will abandon the pretense and face the score to explore the essence of Bach's music. He also chose the Cistercian University Church in Senarza, a historic building built in the 14th century, as the recording location. The recording was done late at night and early in the morning to avoid the hustle and bustle of pilgrims who visit the church constantly.
