Description:
A dreamlike meeting! Paul Meyer, one of the best clarinetists in France, has recorded the complete concertos of Spohr and chamber music of Fauré and Schumann with Eric Le Sage on the Alpha label. His new recording with one of the best chamber orchestras in Belgium, which has a solid history, is a richly varied collection of concertos with Michel Portal, a talented guest who is also versed in jazz and contemporary music, and who continues to deliver outstanding interpretations of the classical repertoire. This is of course not the first time these two musicians have performed together, having already produced an album of unaccompanied duets for EMI more than 10 years ago, but now that their careers have deepened, it is a pleasure to see them together on the charismatic Alpha label, known for its careful production of recordings, and to present such a varied program. It is indeed a pleasant surprise to hear these two musicians come together to present such a diverse program on the charismatic Alpha label, which is known for its meticulous recordings. The Wallonie Chamber Orchestra is a well-known and talented group that has been performing fresh performances on modern instruments in Belgium, a country known for its ancient music. This time, they will perform Telemann from the Baroque period, the era of the dawn of the clarinet (both soloists' sound productions are exquisite, making the most of the middle and low tones), C. Stamitz from the classical period, two hidden masterpieces by Mendelssohn, and a Takemitsu arrangement of a Tchaikovsky piece (......), The program is a slow and steady one that continues to capture the hearts of the audience. This is a wonderful recording that could only be made by Alpha.
