Ingmar Bergman: 100th anniversary of his birthIngmar Bergman (1918-2007) is one of the most famous Swedish film directors, screenwriters, and stage directors of the 20th century. He is known not only for his classic films such as "Wild Strawberries" and "Winter Light," but also for his work as director of the Malmö Opera House in the 1950s, where he directed operas and presented sophisticated productions. The island of Fårö is located in the north of Gotland, Sweden's largest island. Four of the most convinced choreographers in contemporary Sweden came to Bergman's home here. Here they find strong inspiration and create new works. Each of the four works in the collection is a continuation of Bergman's poetic and rich emotional expression, with careful attention to every movement of the hands and the subtle movements of the eyelids.
