This four-disc set includes live recordings of the three recital series Irina Meduyeva gave at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her concert debut in Japan, and includes all the pieces performed, including encores. The program includes Beethoven's three major sonatas, Chopin's two sonatas, and Liszt's sonata, all of which are suitable for this milestone year. In addition to his favorite Metterner works, Rachmaninov's Sonata No. 2 was performed for the first time. The colorful sound of his favorite 1925 New York Steinway (CD135) provided an overwhelming performance.
