His reputation has grown with each appearance, and he is now attracting attention as one of the most prominent young maestros. This CD captures the regular concert held on December 20, 2012, at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, where the much-acclaimed Hruša engaged directly with the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, inspiring one another to produce a truly masterful performance. The clear articulation of each section and each phrase allows the melodies to emerge with a three-dimensional quality; furthermore, thanks to the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra’s superb ensemble playing and Hruša’s masterful tempo control, the orchestra’s sound is exceptionally fresh and vividly vibrant. In the second movement, the version featuring an obbligato cornet was used, further enhancing the musical effect.
