Recorded in New York with Lyle Atkinson (bass) and Leroy Williams (drums), the rhythm section of Barry Harris, whom Fukui looked up to as his mentor, this album is a masterpiece that conveys all of Fukui's charm as a bop pianist. The selection and composition of songs, which are mainly standards, and of course the playing, are full of enthusiasm and power. Recorded in February 1999 and digitally remastered in 2021. New commentary included. Supervision and commentary by Yusuke Ogawa.
