Duo album by renowned Finnish pianist/composer Timo Alakotila and accordionist Yuka Fujino. In addition to 12 of their own original compositions, the album includes the Finnish tango classic "Hiljainen Kylatie" (Quiet Village Road) as a bonus track. The album title "Seiras" is a coined word from the Japanese seasonal word "Aorashi" (blue storm). It means a dream of gentle blue wind (blue is a typical color used in the Finnish flag) that travels between Japan and Finland. Nanohana" designed on the inside of the jacket is one of Fujino's representative songs. Written for a friend's mother's birthday, the song was well received in Finland and is the last song on the album. Timo's "Arcticparadise" is also a popular song included in accordionist Maria kalaniemi's live album "Tokyo concert". It is newly arranged for this duo. All the songs are newly arranged by Timo/Fujino. Two new songs were written for this album.Both songs, "Hiroko" for Timo and "Valkoinen kukka" (White Flower) for Fujino, are dedicated to Hiroko Ara, a kantele player who passed away in May of this year. The project began in January of this year, and was recorded in Finland in July after a long period of correspondence between Japan and Finland. Phillip Page, who has been involved with Kimmo Pohjonen, JPP, Maria Kalaniemi, Varttina, and Accordion Tribe as a producer and manager for many years, was called upon to make this album possible, Phillip also participated in this album as project coordinator. Phillip is also involved in the album as project coordinator. The album is the first Japanese release on Maria Kalaniemi's Akero Records label.
