Why not try playing them yourself? ■ About the Album This album is the second installment in our anime song collection, following the 2014 release *"26 Best Anime Songs to Listen to and Play on the Sanshin"*. The inspiration for this album came from emails we received from customers saying, "I want to listen to and play the latest anime songs on the sanshin." The emails included lists of requested songs. Upon reviewing them, we found some tracks with an extremely high number of notes, fast tempos, or frequent key changes—songs that posed a significant challenge for the sanshin. There were even some that made us wonder if they could even be played on the instrument at all. However, Kazutoshi Negishi, who handled the arrangements and performance, masterfully overcame these challenges by utilizing a wide variety of playing techniques. It was a groundbreaking performance that greatly expanded the concept and potential of the sanshin as an instrument. The diverse selection of songs, ranked from difficulty level 1 to 5, greatly stirs the spirit of challenge in performance. And the sanshin in this dynamic, sometimes thrilling album is, much like a guitar album, thoroughly enjoyable just to listen to and will make your heart race. So, why not give it a listen? Your favorite anime songs on the sanshin! ■Regarding the Arrangements (Structure) of the Tracks Given the nature of instrumental san-shin music, we have prioritized melodic sections and may have omitted intros or interludes in some cases. Additionally, for all tracks, we have aimed for a length of approximately one chorus or one and a half choruses (the lyrics sheet includes the full chorus). ■About the Sheet Music This album includes a 100-page sheet music booklet featuring even more detailed notation than previous releases in the series. The top staff displays the vocal melody, with chord progressions above and lyrics below. This allows for accompaniment by pianists, guitarists, or other musicians. The second staff contains the part sheet for sanshin performance. It features tab notation (read the same way as guitar tabs) with kōkōshi notation below. Additionally, since some songs feature complex arrangements that cannot be fully conveyed by standard kōkōshi notation alone, fingerings are noted as a supplement on the tab notation in certain sections. Furthermore, both the sheet music and lyric booklets use location markers—such as [Intro] and [1C]—to indicate sections of the song. Two booklets are included (a 100-page booklet containing sheet music for all songs and tips for playing the sanshin, and a 36-page booklet containing lyrics).
