This is a collection of world premiere recordings by Georg Friedrich Haas, one of the masters of contemporary music who also serves as a juror for the Toru Takemitsu Composition Award for the year 2025. Born in Graz, Austria, Haas studied with Gesta Neuwirth and Friedrich Zerha, and is a composer of the spectral school of music, which is said to share some similarities with Ligeti's style, such as the use of micropolyphony and microintervals. His works have been actively performed around the world, including at the Donaueschingen Contemporary Music Festival, the Vienna Moderne, and the Suntory Hall International Composition Commission Series.
