Trio Vandaller's Latest DiscDedicated to the memory of Nicolas Angelisch, Frank Trio Vandaller's latest disc is a collection of Franck's works. It is a super-full collection that includes Franck's debut as a composer, the Trio Trio, and a rich quintet, as well as the Violin Sonata. The performance is dedicated to his close friend Nicolas Angelisch (1970-2022). The 16-year-old Angelisch and Weijabedian, who is four years older than Angelisch, were both involved in the Messiaen and Donatoni Sonata project organized by the Conservatory. They once performed together on a tour of piano quartets by Messiaen and Donatoni, organized by the Conservatory. Weijabedian became like an older brother to Angelisch, who had just moved to Paris from the United States. Messiaen and Donatoni themselves highly praised their playing. (Weijabedian said that Angelisch's ability to see things for the first time was astonishing.) When he took Penutier's master class with Angelisch at the piano, it was also Franck's sonatas and quintets.
