Including a cover of The Beatles' "Yesterday" and other previously unreleased studio recordings, the 3-CD set Bob Dylan "1970" is a 50th-anniversary commemorative collection of 74 tracks from a number of very rare studio recordings. The nine-track studio recording with George Harrison on May 1, 1970, includes Dylan originals ("Always in the Morning," "Gates of Eden," "Mama, You Bean On" and "The New Dawn"), as well as previously unreleased outtakes from the "Self Portrait" and "New Dawn" sessions, both released in 1970 as original compositions. Mama, You Been On My Mind") and covers ("Yesterday" by The Beatles, "Just a Dream" by The Everly Brothers, "Matchbox" by Carl Perkins) in order of recording date.The session with Dylan on "1970" featured guest appearances by George Harrison, as well as Al Kooper, Charlie Daniels, Russ Kankel, David Bromberg, Stu Woods, and Buzzy Feyton, all of whom are well-known session men, Bob Johnston served as producer.
