Unknown and excellent works left by Isserlis' grandfather, Julius Isserlis (Isserlis), a composer and pianist born in Kisinau, the capital of Moldova, in 1888. The "Piano Works" of Julius Isserlis, grandfather of the famous English cellist Stephen Isserlis and a Russian musician who studied composition with Taneyev and Widor, is now available! Due to the persecution of Jewish people, Julius Isserlis was forced to flee Moscow and seek a permanent home in London via Vienna. His music is a superb, unknown Russian work that combines Slavic folk songs and folk dances, melancholy melodies, and unique harmonic progressions, while also showing the influence of Chopin. Sam Heywood is a British pianist from Brisbane, Australia, who also duoed with Isserlis on his 2011 tour of Japan.The Royal Philharmonic Society of Great Britain has presented him with the prestigious Julius Isserlis Scholarship, and he is expected to make further progress. And the "Ballade in A minor," dedicated to Casals, will be played by Julius' grandson, Stephen Isserlis, of course!
