Tom Misch, who has gained popularity for his sophisticated sound—a fusion of jazz, electronica, soul, and hip-hop—his beautiful voice, and his stylish guitar playing (praised by the likes of John Mayer and Eric Clapton), is set to release a Japan-exclusive CD version of “QuarantineSessions,” which caused a sensation when it was suddenly released digitally! Tom Misch launched the “QuarantineSessions” project last March while the UK was under lockdown. The series features his unique guitar style—masterfully utilizing a guitar and loop machine—to reinterpret songs like Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and Solange’s “Cranes in the Sky,” James Blake’s “The Wilhelm Scream,” and “Parabens”—a collaboration with Brazilian pop maestro Marcos Valle—as well as the original track “Chain Reaction,” a collaboration with his friend Jordan Lakai that had been generating buzz. Amid the unique circumstances of the pandemic, Tom Misch weaves sounds as if playing with his guitar. These tracks are perfect for a glamorous yet wistful stroll under an endless blue sky or for lounging in a grassy field under the blazing sun—calm, mind-clearing, and enchanting songs that will have you lost in their spell. This album, *QuarantineSessions*, includes the seven tracks previously released on Tom Misch’s official YouTube channel, as well as the new song “MissingYou,” with all tracks making their CD debut. The album artwork features warm, hand-drawn illustrations by Oliver McDonald-Ols, an artist whom Tom Misch deeply admires. The Japanese CD edition includes a booklet.
