Japanese loud rock band coldrain’s long-awaited album, “OPTIMIZE=OPTDEMISE” (silver vinyl)—their first in four years Formed in 2007, the loud rock band coldrain made their major-label debut in 2008 with their first single, “Fiction.” Since 2013, they have been signed to an overseas label, touring Europe, the U.S., and various Asian countries, and performing at numerous international festivals. In 2018, they held their first-ever solo concert at Nippon Budokan. In February 2026, they hosted the third edition of their self-organized festival, “BLAREFEST.2026,” at Port Messe Nagoya in their hometown of Nagoya; tickets for both days sold out before the lineup was even announced, making the event a huge success. In September, they announced the release of their first album in four years, “OPTIMIZE=OPTDEMISE,” and, with their 20th anniversary just around the corner, continue to expand their global reach with unstoppable momentum. This new album, *OPTIMIZE=OPTDEMISE*, features the single “EX-HUMANITY”—which was suddenly released at midnight on July 17, 2026—as well as tracks featuring guest artists Bert McCracken (The Used) and Kenta Koie. This highly anticipated new release promises to be a record that fully embodies the essence of “coldrain,” refined through their musical journey and the new phase they entered with the EP *OPTIMIZE*.
