The life of Ramon Lluí (1232-1316), the greatest Catalan scholar of the Middle Ages, is traced with narrative, instrumental music, and songs by guest performers such as Kiel and Xanaj. He lived in a time of cultural splendor, when the three religions of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam were intermingled, but also a time of constant strife. There is no evidence that Ramon Lui himself was a musician, but it is clear that he loved to sing, and his poems are intended to be sung.
