The 36 CDs include works by leading 20th century Polish composers such as Szymanowski, Tansman, Panuchnik, Baczewicz, Lutoslawski, and Penderecki, as well as works by lesser-known composers outside Poland and contemporary composers who are leading the Polish musical world today ( The collection includes works by leading Polish composers of the 20th century, works by composers little known outside Poland, and works by contemporary composers who are leading the Polish music scene today.)The ten massive booklets (in English) include detailed work descriptions with extensive score material, composer biographies, performer profiles, recording data, and information about the history of Polish music. Of course, the participating artists are full of Poland's leading conductors, orchestras, choirs, ensembles, and soloists. Expect a limited edition luxury box set that is a must-have for all Polish music fans!
