Zhang Yi is currently one of China's foremost conductors, serving as Artistic Director of the China National Ballet, the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra. He also frequently guest-conducts internationally renowned orchestras in Europe, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
