The Hague Resident Orchestra ranks among the Netherlands’ top orchestras, alongside the Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Rotterdam Philharmonic, and serves as the face of The Hague—a city known for peace, justice, and culture, famed for the “Hague Convention.” Neeme Järvi, who has taken up the baton from a succession of principal conductors—including Otterlo, Funk, Svetlanov, and Zväten—is sure to make his interpretation of Bruckner a new hallmark of the Hague Residentie Orchestra. It will also be fascinating to see how well Neeme Järvi—who draws a rich, powerful sound from the orchestra—matches with Bruckner’s music.
