Description:
A commemorative release marking the establishment of the Richard Hickox Foundation! A definitive collection from Richard Hickox, the evangelist of British music. On November 23, 2008, Richard Hickox (1948–2008), a champion of British music, passed away at the young age of 60 due to a heart attack. This album, *Within a Dream*, captures the very essence of Hicks’ musical life, compiling particularly significant performances—including Vaughan Williams’ *London Symphony*—from among the more than 300 recordings this peerless master left behind for Chandos, all on two discs. British music, sacred music, vocal music, opera… This special release will once again demonstrate the sheer magnitude of Hickox’s unrivaled repertoire and the exceptional quality of his performances.
