The heroes of bedroom pop are back! Cavetown, now a worldwide favorite, releases its long-awaited new album! Robin Skinner, aka Cavetown, a platinum gold-certified singer, songwriter, and producer, will release his long-awaited new album "worm food" on November 4. He also co-directed the music video for the single "1994," which was released prior to the album. Cavetown produced the album himself in his home studio, where he spent time in his garage, creating a powerful, unadorned, alternative pop album. The single "1994" features graceful, gentle vocals and an incredibly catchy rhyme that reaffirms his exceptional ability Cavetown says of the song, "It's about noticing guilt and trying to solve it, and how much it gets overblown in your head. I'm trying to clarify when it's really wrong and when it's made up in my head, because it makes me feel pretty guilty. The lyrics are a message to myself that there is still a child inside of me that wants love and compassion." He comments. Robin Skinner, who has been performing under the name Cavetown since the age of 14, is an in-demand home-recorded indie pop artist with over 2.5 billion total Spotify streams to date and over 2 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. In 2018, he released his first full-length album "LEMON BOY" and signed a major label deal with SIRE Records, a subsidiary of Warner Records, and has sold out shows all over the world and performed at major festivals like Reading & Leeds and Lollapalooza. They have also performed at major festivals such as Reading & Leeds and Lollapalooza. The band has also released a dusty cover of Randy Newman's "You've Got A Friend In Me/You're My Friend" (theme song from the movie Toy Story), which is loved by all generations, and "Live", which includes three consecutive sold-out nights at London's Hoxton Hall in 2018. LIVE AT HOXTON HALL," which includes live performances. In 2020, they released their long-awaited major label debut album, SLEEPYHEAD, which was acclaimed by NME as "a bedroom pop hero building a community around the world".
