Since their debut in 1986, after a decade of hard work and struggle, they released numerous mega-hit singles starting in the mid-90s, evolving from “America’s most famous unknown band” to “the best American rock band.” . With their heart-wrenching melodies, modern rock sound, and melancholic ballads, they continue to perform energetically today, truly embodying the American rock dream. ■Their 1998 album *Dizzy Up the Girl* spawned a remarkable five hit singles and sold 5 million copies in the U.S. alone. Regarded as the "conscience of American rock," they have consistently released hits featuring beautiful melodies and edgy sounds. In particular, "Iris," which reached No. 1 on the U.S. charts as a soundtrack for the movie *City of Angels*, became the band’s biggest hit single, earning four Grammy Award nominations in 1999. On their 2002 album *Gutterflower*, their rock sound centered on beautiful melodies remained intact, earning them their third consecutive platinum album in the U.S. The follow-up album, their eighth studio album *Let Love In*, released in 2006, marked a significant expansion in scale for the rock band. ■For *Let Love In*, the band switched producers from Rob Cavallo—who had produced the previous three albums—to Glenn Ballard.
