Florian Berner, cellist of the Hugo Wolff Quartet, sings Bach's Unaccompanied Cello Suites with great emotion! Florian Berner. Until now, his recordings have not had much exposure in Japan and he has not been well-known, but now he has a new release that is sure to attract attention. Berner was born in Vienna in 1973. After studying with Angelica May and the Alban Berg String Quartet at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, he went on to study in Italy with the world-famous Mario Brunello. The quartet has since gained an international reputation as one of the most exciting string quartets of its generation and continues to be active around the world. As an individual, he was a regular guest with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra conducted by Claudio Abbado and Daniel Harding from 2007 to 2013, and was guest solo cellist with the Niederösterreich Orchestra in 2007/08.She has appeared as soloist in the Vienna Musikverein's "Mozart Year" at the Musikvereinsaal, made guest appearances at the Bregenz Festival, and produced a documentary on Beethoven's cello sonatas for TV Tokyo, among many other activities Since 2016, she has been a member of the he has become a member of the Alban Berg Ensemble at the Musikverein, where he is increasingly gaining recognition, and has taught at various American universities. This time, Berner is proud to present to the world Bach's Suite for Unaccompanied Cello, an immortal masterpiece that is a sacred text for cellists. Berner brings out the deep tone of Niccolò Galliano's 1819 masterpiece and sings it on a large scale with great emotion.
