Composer Andrew McIntosh is also a violinist and studied composition, violin, and ancient music performance at the University of Southern California. He has been commissioned by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Industry Opera Company, and Jahn/Weier, among others. Little Jimmy," composed for Jahn/Weier and included on this album, uses wind and bird sounds recorded at the Ángeles National Forest, which was later destroyed in a massive fire that ravaged much of the park.
