Falco made his solo debut in 1982 with the album "Der Commissar". The title track "Der Komissar" was cut as a single and became a big hit in many European countries, making him a popular artist. In 1985, he released "Rock Me Amadeus," which reached No. 1 in many European countries and also No. 1 in the U.S. In 1983, he released his first solo album, "Deer Commissar," which was a single cut and the title track of the album. It also reached No. 1 in the United States. It was also an unprecedented hit in Japan.
