A Tribe Called Quest
Description:
A Tribe Called Quest, the legendary Hip Hop group, revolutionized Hip Hop history in the 1990s with a completely new style rich in wit and humor, overturning the image of "tough" Hip Hop that had existed up to that point. A Tribe Called Quest is a legendary group that continues to have a profound influence on the world music scene as the core of the most important group known as "Native Tongue". The group's debut album, "People's Instinctive Travels and the Path of Rhythm," released in 1990, received a perfect score from "The Source," the most authoritative magazine in the Hip Hop scene, and the group's music, which is mainly jazz but also includes soul, funk, and rock, is diverse and free of the machoism of Hip Hop of the 1980s, such as "gold" and "guns," and is characterized by a strong sense of melodicism. The group's lyrics are full of playful content, and their precise sound samples a variety of musical genres from jazz to soul, funk, and rock, and they have led a new movement in the 1990s called the "new school," or new hip-hop.In 1991, the group released "The Row and Theory," which featured jazz bass giant Ron Carter, and was highly acclaimed as a masterpiece that showed a new direction in hip-hop, and produced many classic songs such as "Oh My God" and "Electric Relaxation" in 1993. The group is known as one of the most important groups in the history of hip-hop, having released a total of five innovative original albums before disbanding in 1998, including "Midnight Murders," which was highly acclaimed as a masterpiece that marked a new direction for hip-hop. In March 2016, MC Phife Dawg unfortunately passed away at the age of 45, but after 18 years since their last album, the group has released their sixth album, "Beats, Rhymes and Life". This album, the sixth in the series, was recorded while Phife was still alive, and is effectively the last studio album with the full band.Andre 3000, Kendrick Lamar, Elton John, Jack White, and Busta Rhymes are listed as guest stars.
