From the fall of 1706 to the spring of 1710, Handel traveled throughout Italy, where he was welcomed by many patrons for his musical activities (composing and playing the harpsichord). Handel, who disliked constraints, seemed to like being treated as a guest and never held a regular job. Thus, we do not have a complete picture of his compositional activities during this period, but it is likely that he acquired advanced compositional skills in Italy through these experiences. The religious works here, composed in 1707, are characterized by a form that breaks with the conventions of Catholic music. It is a passionate work that brings to life the charm of Handel's lustrous melodic lines. Conductor Giulio Prandi was born in 1977. He studied choral music, conducting, and composition at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, while also studying and graduating from the Mathematics Department of the University of Pavia. With his musical colleagues at the University of Pavia, he founded a choir and instrumental ensemble that studies choral works from various periods and gives concerts that shed light on unknown works.In 2013, he also revived and revived a score from the late 19th century that was kept in the archives of Lisbon Cathedral.
