The eleven songs on this album are a humiliating report of a turbulent social climate, while at the same time revealing the folly of human beings who seem to be willingly moving forward into that turbulent time. Freed from illusion and born of a clean slate, its sound is the quintessential disillusionment, the bittersweet fruit of a vicious and sinister age. From their earliest days, the Fat White Family instinctively understood the power of mythology, long neglected in rock and roll, and the need to give people something to believe in (or nothing). In the midst of an inorganic, safe, pop-careerist monoculture, the Fat White Family harbors a sacred flame. A band with a special power to inspire listeners, they are fiercely punk in spirit. During the tumultuous period leading up to the completion of their new album, the band has been active in a multitude of fields.While each member has side and solo projects, the band has also supported Liam Gallagher's biggest solo shows and collaborated with author Adele Stripe on Ten-Thousand Apologies: Fat White Family and the The Miracle of Failure.
