Over the course of three years, from 2012 to 2014, Ansnes will work on a live recording of all of Beethoven's piano concertos. His partner will be the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, which he will conduct as well as play the piano. The first two concertos, No. 1 and No. 3, are already available. This project, entitled "The Beethoven Journey," is Ansnes' first recording of Beethoven's works.From 2012-2016, Ansnes will perform Beethoven's piano concertos in 150 concerts in 55 cities worldwide, an estimated 200,000 concertgoers.
