Born November 18, 1979 in Baden-Baden, Germany, Schumacher began playing the piano at the age of five and performed Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra at age 15. He studied at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen in the piano class of Prof. Till Engel and graduated in 2009. Since then, he has been active as a pianist, composer, and arranger.
