Commemorative project for the 110th anniversary of his birth. This is the latest reissue of one of the most famous recordings of "Pictures at an Exhibition," one of the masterpieces of the brilliant conductor Markevich from Kieu, recorded in 1973, as a Tower Records special edition. Born in Chieu, Markevich moved to Switzerland two years after his birth, and later studied in Paris, where he also composed music under Diaghilev's tutelage, and achieved success as a conductor. This "Pictures at an Exhibition" is a masterpiece by the Russian composer Mussorgsky orchestrated by the French composer Ravel, a work truly worthy of Markevich.
