The Prettyots, a girl duo consisting of the pretty and idiosyncratic Kay Kasperhauser and Lulu Pratt, have released their debut album "Fun's Cool" on the venerable British label Rough Trade! The duo's girly melodies, chill ukulele sound, slightly tired vocals, and chuckle-worthy lyrics combine in a salty way to make you fall in love with them even though you may have heard them before. The lyrics were written by vocalist Kay, and all of them are said to be spoken from her heart.The music video for the single "Boys (That I Dated In Highschool)", which is also included in this album, was directed by Richard Kern, a very famous photographer and filmmaker who has directed videos for Sonic Youth, OFF! The music video was directed by Richard Kahn, a renowned photographer/filmmaker with experience directing videos for Sonic Youth, OFF! The band has made an impressive debut with their best work, packed full of catchy melodies and familiar hooks! Keep your eyes peeled for more to come!
