Description:
≪Günter Wand Edition, Vol. 2≫ At long last! A masterful performance that truly showcases Günter Wand’s brilliance. A dream collaboration between the virtuoso Painemann and Wand! Plus, the first-ever recording of *The Firebird*! Although Wand loved to perform the 1945 version of *The Firebird* (the version released by Finale Records in which the string section plays non-legato), surprisingly, this is the first time it has been released on disc. You’ll be moved by the dynamic rhythm and Vant’s uniquely powerful expression. As *Pulcinella* was one of his signature pieces, his performance is elegant and refined. You can also fully savor the rich, textured sound of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. Furthermore, his performance of Prokofiev surpasses expectations with exceptional clarity and precision. The recording quality is superb.
