From Schubert to film music. Sara Maria San, who specializes in contemporary music, expresses her humor in her album "Silence is Golden"! Sara Maria San is one of the leading contemporary vocalists, singing more than 1,000 pieces from the 16th to 21st centuries. She is a talented soprano singer who has sung more than 1000 songs from the 16th to 21st century, more than 1/3 of which are world premieres. Sun has performed a variety of roles in music theater, opera, and monodrama, and from 2007 to 2015 was a member of the Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, a chamber ensemble of seven world-class singers specializing in contemporary music. She is currently actively performing solo and presenting premieres of new works, and has released two albums on the Hensler label: "Yes I Will Yes," inspired by a famous chapter from the novel Ulysses, and "Va," a contemporary poem set to Massenet's lyrical expression. On his new album, "Silence is Golden," he presents humorous renditions of everything from Schubert to musicals to film music. Together with Kilian Herold on clarinet and Jean-Philippe Schulze on piano, he opens up his own unique world. Our album "Silence is Golden" is very dramatic. Of course, the title has a lot in common with the movie of the same name. Although the content of the film is heavy, I wanted to convey the world of the film in an easy-to-understand way by expressing it with humor. I believe that humor allows us to look at serious problems from a distance and gives us the opportunity to see the possibility of solving them.
